Wednesday Inspiration- Royal Weddings

One of our favorite wedding planners referenced Cinderella as an inspiration for one of the upcoming weddings. We've been loving all of the Royal wedding coverage and thought we'd share some of our inspiration.
This brought us to THE original Royal Wedding.  We went crazy over the over the top fairy tale brought to life feel of this wedding.  And wouldn't you know that our Vera Wang Invitation line had an invitation that had detailing just like Diana's train.  The heavy card stock and engraved printing screamed royal wedding to us.
With all of this fairy tale talk we needed to go back to Kate and William.  We loved the modern fairy tale feel of this wedding and can't wait to bring it to the Wentworth!

Vendor Highlight - The Wentworth by the Sea

For those of you who have been following our blog and facebook you know that we are kind of obsessed with The Wentworth by the Sea.  We love EVERY thing about them from the amazing wedding packages to the super professional staff.  We always know a Wentworth Wedding will be stunning.

Wentworth By the Sea commands the island of New Castle, NH's oldest settlement, next to the Distinctive Destination® of Portsmouth, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The perfect destination for a romantic getaway, family vacation or group, Wentworth by the Sea, Marriott Hotel of the Year, is just an hour north of Boston with easy access from I-95 and Manchester NH or Boston airports. The 161 guest rooms & suites blend historic elegance with 21st century convenience. Portsmouth NH conferences, meetings, and events appreciate the 10,000 sq. feet of flexible space including the original Grand Ballroom and the Treaty Boardroom. The meticulously restored grand hotel gleams with the glamour and grace that have drawn guests here for over a century. Intimate restaurants with imaginative cuisine, tranquil spa services, indoor and outdoor pools, nearby ocean beach, fitness and business centers, WiFi and an unwavering commitment to guest service make the Wentworth Marriott one of the great resort hotels of NH, New England and the world.

Why should you pick the Wentworth you might ask? Because besides being amazing they make it easy on Brides.  Thanks to their packages you don't have to spend time researching florists and bakeries they have a list of amazing professionals who are built into the cost.

Stressing About Save The Dates?

Every week we have brides come in needing help with Save the Dates and they all have the same questions.  Do I have to know what colors I'm using, should they match the invitation, how many do I need to send out, and do I need to know the venue?

We hate to see stressed out Brides so we decided to add some helpful blog posts.  Starting with some Save the Date tips.

First and foremost find a venue!  The venue availability will determine the date and accommodations for your wedding.  It's no secret that we LOVE the Wentworth by the Sea for their amazing packages we also love the York Harbor Inn for their bluff side ceremony and those are just two of the many amazing venues in the Seacoast. Take your time and find the perfect venue for your budget and vision.

The best part of Save the Dates is that they get to be fun.  You don't have to know what colors you are using or even if you are going to have a theme. This is a great way to show your personality.  Another Bride was having a black and white wedding complete with a black tie dress code but really loved burgundy.  So we suggested burgundy save the dates.

When you are thinking about who to send your Save the Dates to make sure to order one for every couple that you will be sending a formal wedding invitation to.  Remember, if you invite someone you can't uninvite them.  If you are unsure if you are going to send them a formal invitation it's best to hold off on sending them a Save the Date. Also, if you send someone a Save the Date and they tell you they will be unable to attend etiquette still requires you to send a formal wedding invitation.  Sometimes life changes and that weekend might free up for that guest, you never know.  It's always best to err on the side of caution

It's never too early to send out a Save the Date but remember that traditionally they are sent out eight to twelve months before the wedding.  However, if you are having a destination wedding  where a majority of your guests are going to have to travel it's best to give your guests at least a year to plan for it.
